Pampanga — Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) intensified its anti-illegal drugs campaign following the arrest of a high-value individual (HVI) and his accomplice in a buy-bust operation early morning on November 28, 2025, in Barangay East Tapinac, Olongapo City.
According to PRO3, operatives of the City Police Drug Enforcement Unit (CPDEU), with the support of Police Station 3 personnel, successfully apprehended alias “Jun,” 60, identified as a high-value drug personality, and his cohort alias “Libay,” 50. The suspects were arrested after allegedly selling illegal drugs to an undercover police operative.
Recovered from the suspects were five heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 105 grams, with an estimated Standard Drug Price of php714,000, as well as marked and boodle money used in the operation.
PRO3 Regional Director Police Brig. General Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. commended the operating teams for their swift execution and teamwork during the operation.
“Our anti-illegal drugs campaign is anchored on the PNP Focused Agenda of Acting Chief PNP Police Lt. General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., and the 3Ps—Protect the People, Pursue Peace and Order, and Promote Professionalism. Each arrest, each seizure, and each dismantled drug activity is part of our commitment to safeguard every family in Central Luzon,” RD Peñones Jr. said.
The suspects will face charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
