NBI arrests 3 for syndicated swindling

OLONGAPO CITY– The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has arrested three women for allegedly trying to sell a property in Subic, Zambales using fake ownership papers.

The NBI – Olongapo District Office (NBI-OLDO), under the command of NBI Director Judge Jaime B. Santiago (Ret.), arrested the suspects in Olongapo City on September 18, 2025, for Syndicated Swindling, Falsification of Public and Official Documents, and Use of Falsified Documents.

A complaint was filed against one of the suspects, who had assumed the identity of the true owner of a lot in Subic, Zambales. Complainants discovered that the titles they received, each for Two Million Pesos (Php 2,000,000.00), were fake.

The victims reported the matter to the NBI-OLDO and upon verification from the Register of Deeds confirmed that the title conveyed to the complainant, as well as the title being offered to the new victim, were all counterfeit.

As a result, the NBI-OLDO conducted an entrapment operation that led to the arrest of the suspects.
