DTI Zambales equips MSMEs with market skills, exposure

ZAMBALES– About 25 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from Zambales gained market exposure and learned new business strategies through a benchmarking activity led by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Zambales at the National Trade Fair (NTF) 2025 at SM Megamall.

Participants from the Olongapo-Zambales Manufacturers Marketing Cooperative and the Young Entrepreneurs Program, participants engaged with national exhibitors to observe innovative trade booth designs, product development approaches, and startup integration models aimed at enhancing competitiveness in local enterprises.

According to DTI Zambales Provincial Director Enrique Tacbad, the NTF serves as an important venue for local products to be seen in the national market.

“The National Trade Fair is an annual activity of the Department of Trade and Industry and it comprises the best of the best products (food and non-food) in the entire Philippines. This is a timely exposure for our MSMEs in Zambales who are looking for a venue to showcase their local products. This activity will eventually provide a new marketing access for our local products,” he said.

Delegates also attended the seminar “DTI Asenso Talks sa NTF 2025: MSMEs, i-Startup Mo!” which featured sessions on technology-based business solutions and collaboration with startups.

Topics included digital tools for scaling operations, strategies for product packaging, and customer engagement techniques.

This initiative reflects DTI Zambales’ ongoing commitment to providing market opportunities and increasing access for local enterprises through national platforms. (Reia G. Pabelonia – PIA3)
