PAMPANGA —In the wake of torrential monsoon rains intensified by Tropical Storm Dante and Typhoon Emong, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) has mobilized its Reactionary Standby Support Force (RSSF) to assist disaster-hit communities across Central Luzon.
Under the directive of PRO3 Regional Director, Police Brigadier General Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., police units from various provincial and city police offices have been activated to deliver immediate relief, conduct clearing operations, and support local government units (LGUs) in mitigating the impacts of severe weather.
In Olongapo City, Station 6 personnel were dispatched to Barangay Barretto, where they carried out road clearing operations along the Manggahan Extension — a critical area inundated by floodwaters. Their efforts aimed to restore safe access for residents and emergency responders.
Similar operations were conducted in Lubao, Pampanga, where the Lubao Municipal Police Station assisted in clearing debris and ensuring the safety of thoroughfares as part of joint disaster response operations with the LGU.
Meanwhile, in Bulacan, members of the Pulilan Municipal Police Station took a humanitarian approach by distributing relief goods to families displaced by the heavy downpour and flash floods in their jurisdiction.
“These swift and coordinated actions reflect our commitment to deliver responsive public service during times of calamity,” said Peñones Jr. “PRO3 stands in solidarity with affected communities and will continue to provide support in close coordination with national and local government agencies.”
The PRO3 RSSF, headquartered in Camp Olivas, remains on heightened alert, ready for further deployment should the need arise. With worsening weather conditions expected to persist, the regional police vowed to sustain its assistance and maintain operational readiness in the face of ongoing and future emergencies.
