PAMPANGA — A suspect involved in a shooting incident was swiftly apprehended by operatives of the Baliwag City Police Station, in coordination with the Bulacan 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, during a hot pursuit operation conducted on July 12, 2025, in Barangay Tibag, City of Baliwag, Bulacan.
According to police reports, the incident stemmed from a heated argument during a drinking session. In the midst of the altercation, the suspect allegedly drew a firearm and opened fire, injuring three individuals. The suspect immediately fled the scene aboard an Enduro-type motorcycle toward the Tibag-Sabang area.
Thanks to quick information provided by a witness, law enforcement launched an immediate hot pursuit and dragnet operation. Within minutes, the suspect was traced and arrested at his residence. Police also recovered the firearm used in the shooting and the motorcycle used during the suspect’s escape.
Police Brig. General Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., Regional Director of Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), lauded the prompt response of the operating teams, stating: “This kind of swift and well-coordinated police action truly reflects the first pillar of our Chief PNP’s leadership — a swift and responsive police service. The immediate action taken by our personnel highlights their dedication to delivering protection, justice, and peace to our communities. I commend the Baliwag Police and the 2nd PMFC for their excellent coordination and public service commitment.”
The suspect is now under police custody, and charges of frustrated homicide are being prepared against him.
