Gordon re-elected Philippine Red Cross chairman

MANILA — Former senator Richard Gordon has been unanimously re-elected as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) during the organization’s 34th Biennial Convention.

Gordon, who has been at the helm since 2004, has overseen a significant transformation and modernization of the PRC.

Under his leadership, the organization has evolved from primarily providing blood services to becoming the leading humanitarian organization in the country, actively involved in disaster response, relief efforts, safety services, health services, shelter, water and sanitation, and welfare services.

The recent convention also saw the election of new board officials. Carissa O. Coscolluela was elected as vice chairperson, Rodolfo O. Reyes will serve as board secretary, and George G. Lorenzana was appointed treasurer.

Gordon’s re-election reflects the confidence of the PRC board in his vision and leadership, as the organization continues to expand its reach and effectiveness in serving the Filipino people.

The PRC remains committed to addressing the various humanitarian needs across the nation, reinforcing its role as a crucial player in emergency response and community support. (PIA)
