ZAMBALES – Various Philippine Fleet (PF) subunits participated in the kick-off activities of Brigada Eskwela 2024 that were simultaneously held at Cabitaugan Integrated School and Cawag Proper Elementary School recently in Subic, Zambales.
Spearheaded by the Fleet’s Civil-Military Operations office, personnel from Sealift Amphibious Force, Offshore Combat Force, Mine Warfare Group, and Submarine Group joined forces for day one of the week-long Brigada Eskwela.
With the theme, “Bayanihan Para sa Matatag na Paaralan,” this year’s iteration kicked off in a parade conducted within the school’s premises followed by maintenance and improvement work in classrooms including cleaning, grass-cutting and painting of walls. A total of six trash drums were also donated to both schools.
The Fleet’s participation in these activities demonstrates its commitment to supporting education by helping prepare school facilities for the upcoming academic year. This partnership aims to ensure quality education for the youth, fostering a sense of community and collaboration aimed toward achieving goals in education.
