GNPD continues to make birthdays meaningful this Women’s Month

BATAAN– GNPower Dinginin Ltd. Co. (GNPD) recommenced their Project Saysay activity through a social experiment with some 30 empowered women in the Municipality of Mariveles, Bataan, on March 23.

The GNPD employees drove from Barangay Alasasin to Barangay Dos, a 21-kilometer drive, to look for women in action in celebration of the Women’s Month.

The social experiment pivoted around funny stories wherein the GNPD employees tested the women on how they will react if there’s an issue or complaint raised about their work. Positively, all of them managed to maintain dignified responses and proved that they were heroes of their own and ultimately women of pride, power, and humility.

The first woman engaged on the challenge was a gasoline station attendant, followed by two street sweepers, and a senior citizen who each received a sack of rice, grocery items, and a gift from the GNPD birthday celebrators for the month of March.

With the battle cry, ‘BABAE KA, HINDI BABAE KA LANG’, the group continued to drive, and surprised a laundry assistant, candy maker, street food vendors, and restaurant cashier.

“It is with great honor to participate in this event and to remind all women that they are constantly cherished and valued.” Marwin Jiminez, one of the celebrators said.

Project Saysay aims to be an avenue for collective action of employee volunteers while uplifting the communities it serves. (pr)
